Q: What is a Wagnet?
A: A Wagnet is a Web Magnet. It functions like a regular refrigerator magnet, except that it's online. Wagnets help you to access frequently-used service providers and businesses with ease, as you do with real refrigerator magnets. A Wagnet can also be created by you as a gift, a greeting card or just to impress your friends.
Q: What does Wagnets.com offer me?
A: Wagnets.com takes your refrigerator's door online. Our goal is to help you organize your frequently-used service providers visually and to provide immediate access to what you really need, when you need it.
Q: What kinds of Wagnets exist?
A: Two kinds of Wagnets exist: commercial and personal. Commercial Wagnets are created by Businesses (companies or individuals) to represent a service provided by them. Personal Wagnets for non-commercial use can be created by anyone. Personal Wagnets can serve as gifts, greeting cards, or souvenirs that members can collect, share and send to friends.
Q: What kinds of users exist?
A: There are two kinds of users: members and businesses. A member can create personal Wagnets, search for Wagnets, stick Wagnets on his doors and share Wagnets and doors. A business can create commercial Wagnets, publish them in the catalog, provide details about the services and send messages and promotions to members who have stuck its Wagnet on their doors. Businesses are not persons therefore do not have doors. If a business wants to maintain a door, it should register also as a member.
Q: Is Wagnets free?
A: Yes! Becoming a member, creating and sharing Wagnets are absolutely FREE. In the future, Wagnets may charge premium payments for advertising by businesses and service providers, but creating personal Wagnets, collecting and sharing them will always remain FREE!

Q: What is a member?
A: A member is anyone who registers at Wagnets.com. As a member you can collect Wagnets and create your own personal Wagnets.
Q: How do I become a member?
A: Just go to the new member registration form, fill in your personal details and you are done. The whole process takes no more than a few minutes. On the registration form some of the details are mandatory, while others are optional. Feel free to choose whether or not to enter the optional details - just take into account that additional information will allow us to provide better service for you.
Q: What are doors?
A: As a member, you can create manage and share (virtual) refrigerator doors. After registration, a default door will be created for you. You can start collecting Wagnets and stick them on your default door or create more doors. You can create doors for separate categories or create additional ones if you run out of space on a specific door.
Q: How do I manage my doors?
A: Go to the Manage Account option and select the Your Doors tab. You will see a list of doors, each displayed with its name and the number of Wagnets on it. From here, you can edit, delete or create a new door. Please note that one of your doors is marked as the default door. This door will be automatically shown when you log in.
Q: How do I share a door?
A: Your door s can be shared with other members. There are three sharing modes:
- No Sharing - the door will be available to you, and you only.
- Read only - the door will be available to other members, but they will not be able to change its Wagnets.
- Full sharing - the door will be available to other members and they will be able to change its Wagnets.
Once a sharing mode is selected, you can send a DoorLink by email to anyone you wish. The email recipient will be able to add your door to his doors list.
Searching

Q: Which Wagnets appear in the Catalog?
A: The catalog contains commercial Wagnets that are created by businesses. A business may decide that one or more of its Wagnets will not appear in the catalog by editing the Wagnet's details. Personal Wagnets that are created by members do not appear in the catalog and will not be shown in search results.
Q: What is a location-based search engine?
A: Commercial Wagnets are stored in the catalog according to service area, since most of the services are related to a specific geographic location. Thus, you can search for Wagnets that offer services in your area. When you register as a new member, you have the option to provide your current location and then to specify it when conducting a search.
Q: What are tags?
A: Wagnets in the catalog are not stored as part of categories, since most of the Wagnets can belong to several categories. Instead, we use a tagging system, where each Wagnet can be labeled with multiple tags that represent the service. When searching, you can use one or more tags as your search criterion.
Q: Why is searching unavailable?
A: The catalog is in the process of being built. Searching will be enabled in the near future.
Collecting Wagnets

Q: How do I collect and stick Wagnets on my doors?
A: Collecting Wagnets is easy! There are several ways in which you can collect and stick Wagnets on your doors:
- Use the location-based search engine, search for the Wagnet you want and click Stick It.
- Click a WagLink found on a Business site.
- Click the embedded WagLink in a Wagnet received by email.
- Send a WagSMS message with the code of the Wagnet you seek.
Methods 1, 2 and 3 will open the "Stick a Wagnet" page where you can view the Wagnet and select a refrigerator door upon which to stick it. Note that the new Wagnet is stuck on the upper part of your door. After sticking the Wagnet, you can move it to an empty space.
WagLinks and WagSMS

Q: What is a WagLink?
A: A WagLink is a link that enables members to stick a Wagnet on one of their doors by clicking it. The WagLink will open a special page in the Wagnets.com web site, which enables registered members to first log in, and then to select the refrigerator door on which they wish to stick the Wagnet. A WagLink is usually embedded in a Business' web site or in promotional email messages.
Q: What is a WagSMS?
A: A WagSMS is a feature that enables you to collect Wagnets easily. All you have to do is send a text message to a predefined number, which includes the text: "wagnet XXXX", where XXXX is the code assigned to the Wagnet you seek. After sending the message, the selected Wagnet will be automatically added to your default door!
If you are not registered at Wagnets or you did not specify your mobile phone number in the details you entered when registering, you will be registered automatically at Wagnets to an account associated with your mobile phone number and receive a reply text message from the system containing a registration code that can be used to log in to your account. Additional account details can be provided by you later.
Note: Sending a text message may not be free and a fee may be charged by your mobile carrier.
Q: Are WagLinks and WagSMS available for all Wagnets?
A: When you create a Wagnet, you can specify at the bottom of the creation page whether you would like your Wagnet to be collected using WagLinks and/or WagSMS. If you uncheck one of the options, it will not be available for use (both options are checked by default).
Q: How do I find the WagLink and WagSMS of a Wagnet?
A: Go to My Wagnets tab, choose the Wagnet and click "View WagLink and WagSMS code".
Basic Operations with Wagnets

Q: How do I move a Wagnet to a different position?
A: Just drag the Wagnet by pressing the left mouse button and release it in the new location.
Q: How do I re-stick a Wagnet to another door?
A: Open the Wagnet information popup by clicking a Wagnet on your door and click the re-stick button on the top right of the popup. The Stick a Wagnet page will be displayed. Select a new door on which to stick the Wagnet.
Q: How do I send a Wagnet to my friends?
A: Open the Wagnet information popup by clicking a Wagnet on your door and click Send on the top right of the popup. Your default mail application will open with a message containing an embedded WagLink. Edit the message if desired, enter the destination email address, and send the message (Note: Do not change the WagLink embedded in the email message).
Two other ways to send a Wagnet are from the search results and from the account management page on the Your Wagnets tab (if you have created personal Wagnets).
Q: How do I remove a Wagnet from my refrigerator door?
A: Open the Wagnet information popup by clicking a Wagnet on your door and click Remove on the top right of the popup. Confirm the deletion by clicking OK.
Creating Wagnets

Q: Who can create a Wagnet?
A: Commercial Wagnets can be created only by registered businesses. Personal Wagnets can be created by any member.
Q: How do I create a Wagnet?
A: A Wagnet can be created by clicking the Create A Wagnet button from any page and also from the New Wagnet tab if you are registered as a business. Creating a Wagnet is a two-step process:
- Upload the Wagnet's graphics file.
- Enter the Wagnet's details.
After a Wagnet is created, it will appear in the Wagnets page and can be used by you or other members.
Q: What kind of graphic files can be used as Wagnets?
A: A Wagnet's graphics file must be in one of the following formats: GIF, JPG, PNG or BMP. If the graphics file size exceeds 400*400 pixels, it will be resized automatically.
Businesses

Q: What is a business in Wagnets?
A: A business is an organization that creates and publishes commercial Wagnets. As a business, you can advertise your products and services by creating one or more Wagnets, which can contain contact details, service areas, promotions and other information.
Q: How do I become a registered business?
A: Select the New Business Registration option and provide the required details.
Q: How can I distribute my Wagnets?
A: Wagnets can be distributed by several methods:
- Provide details, service area, and tags. Members will be able to find your Wagnets by searching the catalog.
- Place a WagLink in your own site.Visitors will be able to click the link and stick your Wagnet on their doors.
- Publish the Wagnet code. Customers will be able to stick your Wagnet using SMS.
- Send your Wagnets by email with an embedded WagLink.
Q: What is the difference between a Wagnet created by a business and a Wagnet created by a member?
A: A Wagnet created by a business is a commercial Wagnet, which means it includes service details, appears in the Wagnets catalog and may include special promotions.
A Wagnet created by a member is a personal Wagnet. It includes a description but no location information or any other details relevant to a service and it does not appear in the Wagnets catalog,
Q: Why are reports not available?
A: In the future, businesses will benefit from a reports system about their Wagnets. At this time the system is unavailable. This is not an answer to the question.
Wagnets Promotions and Messages

Q: What are Wagnet promotions / messages?
A: A Wagnet promotion/ message is a special content that can be attached to the Wagnet and includes dynamic information available to members who have selected the Wagnet and stuck it on their doors. As a business, you can include promotions, coupons, periodical sales etc.
Q: How do I create a promotion / message?
A: Select the Wagnet you wish to add content to in your created Wagnets list and go to the Add Wagnet promotions or Add Wagnet messages option. The current active promotion (if one exists) will appear and a list of previous promotions created. You can create a new promotion or reuse an existing one.
Q: How do members view the promotions?
A: Each Wagnet with promotion information will display a special link in the Wagnet details labeled "Click for Special Content!". When clicking the link, the promotional data will popup. The Wagnet will display a visual tag to indicate that a new promotion is available.
Q: What are promotion / message notifications?
As a business you can notify customers who stuck your Wagnet on their doors about your new promotions and send them messages. Two methods exist for this:
- Email notification - members get an email with the new content
- SMS notification - members get an SMS with the new content
Notification will work only for members who registered an email address or mobile phone number.
Note: when using SMS notifications, additional fees may apply.
Q: How do I clear a promotion / message?
A: Open the notifications / messages management page and select "Clear content".
